5. Controller Data Plan

After registering your Trio controllers, you need an internet connection to exploit TrioAir's many features and gain the benefits that come with it. 

An internet connection to your controllers is just like any other internet connection that you have in your home, office, or cellphone. You can set up a network connecting your Trios to a modem using a LAN network (ethernet cable) or via Wi-Fi. Anyone wanting to do that can find detailed information on setting up such a network in the Trio Installation Manual. 

Alternatively, you can purchase a data plan (similar to what you have for your personal cell phone). This page describes the simple procedure used to purchase this plan.

1. On the Home Screen, go to Farm Settings > Device Management. 

This page shows three different cell plan statuses:

• Trio controller with an active cell plan (#1)
• Trio controller having a built-in SIM card, but no cell plan (#2 & 3)
• Trio controller with no SIM card (#4). 
  • If your Trio has a modem but need a SIM card, contact your tech support.
  • If you need to install a modem, the Trio Installation manual details the process, the required components and their part numbers. 

2. To purchase a data plan, click Connect With A Data Plan. 

The screen shows two basic details:

• Price: The price per month per controller, any taxes, the subtotal and total. These fields are read-only. 
• The number of controllers that can be connected to Munters' data service. In this example there are two controllers (#2 and #3). If you don't want to connect each device, click Manage Devices.

• Deselect any controller that doesn't require a cell plan and click Save Changes.

3. On the payment page, select the payment method, enter the details, and click Submit Payment. The following screen appears:

4. If you click Continue To Your Farms, the Device Management screen appears, with the controllers' new status displayed. 

Note: If for some reason, the sign-up fails, an error message appears. Try again. If you don't succeed after two or three attempts, contact tech support.
