Step 3: Creating and Managing a Farm
Once you have an account, the next step is to create one or more farms. A farm contains one or more Trio controllers. In addition, it is the focal point between the controllers and integrators. As farm owner, you can invite new users and define their access rights.
3a: Creating a Farm
Creating a farm consists of:
- Naming the farm
- Selecting the livestock (greenhouse, poultry, or swine)
- Picking the farm's location.
For more information, click here.
3b: Managing a Farm
Once created a farm owner can:
- Rename the farm
- Change the farm location
- Select the company/integrator
- Select the data provider
- View the controllers' tech support data
- Invite new users
- Delete a farm
- Delete a Trio controller
For more information, click here.
Step 4: Adding Controllers to Farms
The last step in setting up TrioAir is to add at least one controller to each farm. After creating a farm, you can start adding controllers to the farm. This process is done locally, at the controller.
Each controller has a QR code used to pair (meaning, to register) the controller to a farm.
- On the Trio screen, go to System > General Settings > Network.
- Click the Register icon.
- Scan the QR code.
- Add the controller to the required farm.
- Repeat this process for every controller.
For more details, click here.
Note: Removing a controller from the farm can be only done ONLY via the app.
Dashboard
The Dashboard is your jump off point for viewing the farms and their controllers, for comparing the farms' data, and accessing the alarms.

Alarms Management
TrioAir provides alarms, enabling users to be informed about critical events going on at their farms, in real-time. These messages are sent to the cloud and then forwarded to managers and operators. While the criteria for when alarms are generated (for example, when is a heat alarm generated) is determined on the Trio itself, alarm management can be defined in TrioAir.
